“Stigmatising anyone during a pandemic poses a threat to everyone of us. We should not tolerate this act towards those who have tested positive for Covid-19 disease. Tomorrow it could very well be you who tests positive,” said Dr Aman.

24 persons have been discharged bringing total number of recoveries to 873, while the number of fatalities has risen to 88 after three people succumbed from the disease today,” said Dr Aman.

CAS Aman said the government is working on streamlining the issue of testing among truck drivers.

“Truck drivers, are part of the trade between states, this is why Kenya said we will require our drivers to be tested 48hrs before they depart and issued with a certificate, said Dr Aman, Adding that, “We anticipate that there is a need to have testing facilities along the border points and there is need to offer the service at the shortest turn around time.
