
The National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has invited Kenyans for Public Participation and Submission of Memoranda in the matter of consideration of the Tax Laws Amendment Bill, 2020, by the House.
In a gazette notice, National Assembly Clerk Michael Sialai invited interested members of the public, organisations and sector- specific stakeholder groups and associations to submit their views or presentations regarding the bill for considerations by the departmental committee on finance and national planning.
Sialai says the bill can be accessed from the parliamentary website at www.parliament.go.ke/the-national-assembly/house-business/bills.
The clerk said the representations, written memoranda and views may be forwarded to the clerk of the national assembly, po. Box 41842-00100,Nairobi.

He further said they can be hand delivered to the office of the clerk, main parliament building, Nairobi or emailed to the [email protected] to be received on or before Monday 6th April 2020 at 5pm.
This is after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Executive Directive last month that sought to cushion Kenyans economically during this period of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Speaker JB Muturi has already acceded to a request by the Leader of the Majority Party Aden Duale to hold Special Sittings of the House on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, from 10.00am.
Top on the Agenda, Duale says will be the Laying of the Coronavirus Emergency Funds Regulations and The Supplementary Budget Estimates.
