Sultry news anchor Betty Kyallo has thanked God for helping her all through as she struggled with her ailing daughter Ivanna.

In a long Instagram post seen by TUKO.co.ke, the mother of one narrated how her four-year-old daughter was diagnosed with with a rare autoimmune disease.
According to Betty, the disease is marked by a sudden widespread attack of inflammation in the brain and spinal cord called ADEM (acute disseminated encephalomyelitis), which in turn damages the protective coating of the nerve fibers called myelin that acts as conductors to all muscles for basic human functionality.
Betty said she did not want to share about her struggles with her daughter’s illness but it took a lot of convincing from family members.
”As another year once again comes to an end I can not help but reflect and look back as this year has been a special one; difficult and extremely challenging to me and my family. It took a lot of convincing for me to share what I am about to share due to its sensitivity and privacy in nature, however I feel I won’t have done my duty to thank God for not abandoning us If I decide to be silent about it. If at the end of this message I will give heart to someone going through the same challenge, anxiety, fear and Loneliness I’ll sleep better,” she wrote.
”Early this year my sweet lovely daughter Ivanna was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. Basically this disease damages the protective coating of the nerve fibers called myelin that act as conductors to all muscles for basic human functionality,” Betty added.
The TV girl explained how Ivanna spent some time in ICU as the condition worsened and how it has not been a walk in the park for her entire family.
Betty revealed how her daughter stopped talking, eating and doing important mobility functions due to the condition.
She revealed her daughter is not yet fully recovered but hopes God will send cure her side soon.
The journalist wrapped up by revealing her daughter’s condition dealt her a huge blow as she could see her waste away and there was nothing she could do.
”As a mother, this was my lowest time, I was crushed every day seeing my daughter wasting away and Couldn’t do anything,” Betty added.
This was the first time she shared about her daughters’s illness.
Following her revelation, her fans and Kenyans thronged social media platforms to wish her well.
