The Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai has directed all police officers to be extra vigilant during this festive season and ensure all Kenyans and their property are secure.
The country’s police chief, who visited Administration Police officers in Nairobi and Gilgil, said adequate security personnel have been deployed across the country and key government installations.
Mutyambai assured the public of enhanced security as adequate security personnel have been deployed.
The Inspector-General of Police who visited Uhuru Administration police camp in Nairobi directed all police officers to be extra vigilant during this festive season.

He lauded the police officers for their great effort in combating organized crime and other cases of criminality across the country saying they have positively answered the call of duty.
Mutyambai said a number of police officers have already been promoted to higher ranks adding that plans are at an advanced stage to elevate junior police officers as well.
Mutyambai who had earlier visited Gilgil to console six officers who were injured in the recent attack in Wajir said their efforts will not go unnoticed.
