Former PwC Regional CEO Anne Eriksson Joins KCB Group Board

Kenya’s largest bank by asset base KCB Group has announced the appointment of Mrs. Anne Eriksson as a Non-Executive Director of the Board of lender with effect from 18th December 2019.

Anne retired from Pwc in Feb 2018 after 40 years, where she was the Regional Senior Partner and CEO for Eastern Africa and Senior Country Partner Kenya. She had been in charge of operations in 6 African countries over the last 6 years.

She is widely recognized as one of Africa’s leading professionals in the financial services industry. Anne has led provision of audit and related advisory matters services to a wide range of regional and local organisations in various sectors.

Anne Eriksson is an alumnus of the University of Warwick, UK and Alliance Girls High School. During her time at PwC, the firm was in 2015 investigated by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) over Sh879.1 million accounting fraud at Haco Tiger Brands.

Ann was also appointed in the CMA’s Ad Hoc Committee which was to hear and determine the allegations of insider trading of Kenol Kobil shares. The committee comprised of four CMA board members, and four independent members namely; retired Chief Justice Dr. Willy Mutunga, Dr. Jim McFie an accomplished academic, Patricia Kiwanuka an expert in Finance and Investments, and Anne Eriksson.
