Three armed thugs on Saturday night raided a shop at the Mulot trading center in Bomet, making away with Ksh.200,000.
Confirming the incident, Bomet East sub-county Police Commander James Kilonzo told Citizen Digital that the trio ordered those in the shop to lie down and surrender all their cash.
They then came out of the shop, and fired in the air countless times before fleeing on a motorcycle.
Kilonzo said the matter is being investigated, adding that officers stationed at the Mulot Police Post will be on patrol to heighten security in the area.
The shop owner has, meanwhile, been asked to record a statement with police to aid with investigations into the incident.
