Kenya is slowly rising to greater heights after several renown artistes made it to the nominations of the Soundcity MVP Music Awards.
The list which was unveiled on Tuesday, December 17, saw three Kenyan artistes and one group make it to contest for the award.
Khaligraph Jones, Otile Brown, Ethic and DJ Creme De la Creme are the ones who will be flying the country’s flag in the Soundcity MVP awards.
According to the list, each of them will be representing different categories.
Khaligraph will be contesting for the Best Hip Hop category where he will be battling it out with nine other contestants among them Shinski from Kenya and Sarkodie from Ghana.
Otile Brown will be fighting for the Best Pop artiste category with nine others among them renown artistes Rayvanny and Nandy from Tanzania and Innos B from Congo.
In the best duo category, Ethic Entertainment will be battling for the award with five others among them two teams from South Africa.
African DJ category has been dominated by Nigerians’ with only DJ Creme De la Creme from Kenya.
The awards will take place in Lagos, Nigeria at the popular Eko Convention Centre on January 11, 2020.
MVP awards is an event present by Soundcity TV which awards musicians and performers across Africa.
The winners are chosen by the viewers in an online voting process.
