The couple is known to be generous, but very reserved in showing the activities taken when hanging out with the less fortunate.
During the Obama Foundation tour of Asia on Friday, December 13, the couple took time out to give a helping hand to schools in need.
In photos shared on social media, the two were seen helping out in the construction of desks for a school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Barack was trying to put the furniture together as wife Michelle stood beside him admiring and also offering a helping hand like any good wife should.
“Last week, Michelle and I had a chance to join the Obama Foundation leaders for an afternoon of community service in Kuala Lumpur. Together, we built furniture for local schools in need of some refurbishing,” the former US president explained in the caption.
He also shared his excitement after seeing motivated young leaders helping out and being a cool hubby he claimed Michelle was better than him when it came to power tools.
“It was inspiring to see these emerging young leaders so motivated to help those in need and a reminder that Michelle is much better with power tools than I am,” he comically added.
Michelle is not only an admirer of what his husband can do but also how he looks.
The former US first lady was spotted admiring her husband’s presidential portrait while visiting the Donald W. Reynolds Centre for American art and portraiture.
The mother of two has also been nominated for a Grammy Award in the Audio Book of the Year for her best-selling memoirs, Becoming.
