Kenya National Football team, Harambee Stars, is expected to jet back home Thursday morning from Egypt, after being eliminated from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations following a 3-0 thrashing in the hands of Senegal.
Stars will now shift focus to the 2020 Africa Nations Championship qualifiers where they are scheduled to play Tanzania in the first round, before resuming training a few days later.
A win and two losses in Group ‘C’ of the Africa Cup of Nations saw Kenya eliminated from the biennial event with the last blow coming in the hands of Africa’s top-ranked side Senegal.
Despite the early exit, Harambee Stars Head Coach, Sebastien Migne, has backed the team to learn from their early exit.

Meanwhile,Sports Cabinet Secretary, Amina Mohammed has assured the team of the Government’s willingness in putting in place effective structures in regards to upping the standards of Football in the country.
Stars will have little time to rest, as they take on the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on July 27th in the first round of the 2020 Africa Nations championship qualifiers in Dar Es Salaam followed by a return leg a week later in Nairobi.
Football Kenya Federation boss, Nick Mwendwa, is confident the team can replicate their 3-2 win over our neighbours.
The tournament is composed of players playing in their domestic league only.
