Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi has finally broken his silence on assassination claims made by the Deputy President.
Ruto whipped up emotions of Kenyans after claiming some top government officials were plotting his assassination in a bid to stop him from ascending to power in 2022.
Speaking at a special church service of ACK St.Thomas Cathedral in Kerugoya, Kirinyaga county on Saturday, June 29, the former vice president called for speedy investigations into the assassination claims of the DP
“I call upon the DCI to investigate this issue. If it turns out to be true, then action must be taken. Equally, if it’s false, those who made the claims must be punished,” Musalia said.
The ANC boss who was accompanied by a host of leaders also addressed the dwindling prospects of the Tea Sector.
” When we passed a law to convert KTDA into an agency, it meant to enable it address the plight of over 600,000 tea farmers. We should not allow anybody to take us backward.
Mudavadi experienced fears that there were unscrupulous businesses people who were working tirelessly to bring down tea sector just like they collapsed the sugar industry
“The people who have been issued with the licenses do not have any have tea plantation and soon they will start creating serious poaching on the commodity just as sugarcane and coffee suffered from the same scam,” he said
The ANC leader was accompanied by other high government dignitaries led by Interior Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
