Real estate firm Cytonn Investments is expected to hand over Phase One of its comprehensive residential development The Alma in Ruaka town, Kiambu county, in a few weeks’ time.
If things go as planned, then the first phase, which is currently about 95% complete and 96% sold, would be handed over in June 2019.
A spot check by TUKO.co.ke on Wednesday, June 12, showed much of the internal and external work was already done.
“Internally, we are done with the finishes, so basically what we are doing inside is just repairing the small things that need to be repaired, things like faulty electrical work, paint, plasta, cabinets and so forth.
The main thing remaining is connecting power and water, but the system is already in place,” said Cyprian Aron, the clerk of works at The Alma during a tour of the site.
The situation on the site shows everything is on course. This is contrary to claims by a section of social media users that Cytonn Investments was one of the property developers whose projects had stalled and were at risk of sinking with billions of investors’ money.
Construction work is ongoing at all the three phases at The Alma development.
Below are photos of how it looks like from inside Phase One of The Alma:
Externally, they are still working on the parking bays and driveways. Their only worry is the current weather conditions which Aron indicated could slow down progress.
Below are how things look from outside Phase One of The Alma:
The Alma Phase One is an eight-storey block with 113 residential units comprised of one, two and three bedroom houses.
At the moment, a bedroom at The Alma will cost one KSh 6 million, two bedroom KSh 9.4 million and three bedroom KSh 12.3 million for those who want to buy in cash.
The property is strategically positioned at the heart of Ruaka town, about 40 minutes drive from Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) during rush hours.
Residents of The Alma will not have to jostle for parking space as each of the apartments has a designated spot at the parking bays.
One and two bedroom houses have a parking slot each whereas the three bedroom apartments have two parking slots each.
The buildings are all equipped with elevators. Taking the stairs is said to be a healthy exercise, but when you live on the 8th or 10th floor, it may not always be convenient.
Then there are the elevated playgrounds. We all want our children to play outside in the sunshine and fresh air, but will they be safe doing it? Yes they will, if you live in The Alma.
The Alma’s developers were certain to include well-equipped elevated playgrounds in the design, giving the young ones a chance to get some exercise as they learn to socialise with their age-mates.
Gym and swimming pool
For the fitness enthusiasts, having a well equipped gym within the compound sounds heavenly.
Now, imagine having that and a swimming pool you can use whenever you please. Picture weekends spent lounging by the poolside without having to leave your compound.
It does not get much better than that, does it?
CCTV surveillance, 24/7 security
Above everything else, a home should feel safe. At The Alma, your safety will be guaranteed with a monitored CCTV system, 24-hour a day guards, and backup generators.
Blackouts will be unheard of and homeowners will never need to worry about their security or that of their families.
The fact that The Alma is adjacent to other suburbs like Runda, Rosslyn and Muthaiga also makes the location quite secure and attractive to investors.
