Kenya beat Madagascar 1-0 in a friendly played at the Stade Robert-Robin in Paris, France on Friday, June 7.
The first half ended all square as no one was able to find the back of the net despite a rather physical first half.
However, Madagascar did get a chance to get ahead before the first half break after they were awarded a penalty much to the dismay of their Kenyan opponents.
But patrick matasi was up to the challenge and helped the Stars keep a clean sheet on the night.
It was in the second half that Kenya finally opened the scoreline after captain Victor Wanyama converted from the penalty spot to make it 1-0 in the 64th minute.
Kenya coach Sebastien Migne’s 27-man squad is in France for a three-week training camp that will see his squad cutdown to 23 men before they travel to Cairo for the Afcon finals.
Harambee Stars next face DR Congo on Saturday, June 15.
